Sarah Mazeika is a speech-language pathologist who has lived in Raleigh since August 2022,
relocating from Pennsylvania. She received both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from
Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA. Throughout her time at Duquesne, Sarah discovered her
passion for working with individuals with aphasia. Her most fond memories of graduate studies
include assisting with an “aphasia workshop” to help physical therapy students provide effective
communication support to their patients. In addition, Sarah enjoyed volunteering with Virtual
Connections for a semester.
As a speech-language pathologist, Sarah’s ultimate goal is to engage in clinical practice with a
whole-person approach, focusing on life participation, greater wellbeing, and independence.
Sarah is very excited to be a part of an organization like TAP to help her fulfill this goal. When
she is not working, Sarah enjoys trying different restaurants in the Triangle, listening to live
music, and taking long walks with her boyfriend and Australian Shepherd, Nova.
